Similar to kittycat's post here many of the non-sudoku puzzle types seem to have fallen out of the daily rotation.
I play primarily the Hanjie, Hitori, Nurikabe, and Slitherlink puzzle types. With the exception of Slitherlink, they all seem to have disappeared. Last 3 puzzle dates for each are:
One of the things I appreciated the most about this site was the variety of puzzles that forced me to reason differently about how to solve each. Now that 3/4 of the puzzle types I play most have gone, that variety is lacking.
Should we expect to see the "missing" puzzle types return in the future?

The nurikabe have unfortunately only ever been occasional but I do need to upload some new puzzles for a few of the types as you say to ensure a full variety in the rotation, and I apologise for their recent absences. The types are hitori, non-consecutive sudoku, jigsaw killer sudoku, hanjie, and also the irregular wraparound sudoku. There are also some 6x6 puzzles missing from some types, but that's less of an issue I think. I'm sorting these out this week, although I restored the hanjie already.

Okay, I've now finished restoring future puzzles for all of the above types, with the exception of hanjie that I will continue to add manually for now. And thanks! :)

Appreciate that you linked this thread from another post. I am also missing the Hitori puzzle type, so am happy to see that they should be reappearing in the rotation soon. Enjoy this site quite a bit!

Sorry, kokos, I asked for Wraparounds as we had had so many Toroidals! Gareth can't please us all all of the time:)

There are loads of Toroidals in the rotation. They just will appear less frequently now that the Wraparounds are back because they are the same basic puzzle type, and the site deliberately picks Wraparound more often than Toroidal.
I play primarily the Hanjie, Hitori, Nurikabe, and Slitherlink puzzle types. With the exception of Slitherlink, they all seem to have disappeared. Last 3 puzzle dates for each are:
- Hanjie: 30th Oct, 27th Sep, 17th Sep
- Hitori: 1st Oct, 25th Sep, 23rd Sep
- Nurikabe: 26th Jun, 21st Jun, 16th Jun
- Slitherlink: 30th Oct, 27th Oct, 25th Oct
One of the things I appreciated the most about this site was the variety of puzzles that forced me to reason differently about how to solve each. Now that 3/4 of the puzzle types I play most have gone, that variety is lacking.

And thank you as well for all the work you have put into this site.
You can however view other players' statistics and comments in the tables above.
