This is a great one to bring back. Nitpicky, yet still fun. Thanks!

Rhodri2112, you have an amazing memory! I've just checked and a version of this picture did appear in a puzzle before, but it was more than 10 years ago so I'm very impressed you can recall that. Still, you're not wrong!

@Gareth. I should mention I play every fiendish and hard puzzle a few times before the year is out. Plus, I think that one's in one of your collections

Amazing memory? Not so much. Addiction to Hanjie? In the words of Monty Python, "It's a fair cop." :D

Plus, I'm sure I'm not your longest member here, but I seem to recall signing up back in the Aughts.

I've checked and you are right! Sorry.

You can view your site history at puzzlemix.com/profile.php, a page which I never finished to my satisfaction so it isn't linked in to the rest of the site. But it shows that you signed up in 2010 and have opened over 35,000 puzzles with a total solving time of 1788 hours (over 74 days). That's extremely impressive! Also, that doesn't count all replays since only first, best and most recent times are stored. Ooh, and that's without any plays at all from 2012 to 2017, pretty much (unless you used a different account).

I'm not a fan of such difficult Hanjie's. You really have to do a lot of trying.

@Nimrot. You can actually puzzle this one out completely without trying, as you can nearly all of them.

I made a post about that called Hanjie Help a couple of weeks ago. Especially look at what I call bridging.

I wonder if during 2012 to 2017 I played more puzzles over, because I can't recall a break like that. I know I've gone through the collections I have a bunch to get faster times. I would've expected me to also play at least the Hanjies and the Killers, though. Strange.

Ah, well. My memory ain't what it used to be :D

Maybe I have deleted old play data at some points, actually, so it might be really inaccurate. That could be another reason I didn't make the page live when I wrote it (years ago), now I think about it! I was going to have to sum up and store archived information that I removed. In which case that would explain why it doesn't match up with your memory!

Key

  • A yellow/light blue highlight in the time distribution charts highlights your time, where relevant.
  • Rating scores out of 10.0 show the average difficulty rating chosen by users, where 1.0 is "Easy" and 10.0 is "Hard".
  • If a puzzle is opened more than once, including by loading from a saved position, then this is potentially a significant aid so it is listed as being completed with 'multiple sessions' for the purpose of the best time/average rating displays above.
  • Minor aid is defined as no more than one use of 'Check solution' when incomplete and/or no more than one use of 'Check solution' when wrong; and/or using highlighting aids (show repeated digits, show broken inequalities and show valid/invalid placements [slitherlink] only). Major aid is any and all other use of the solving aids except for 'show wrong'.
