I don't know what happened there. I finished the puzzle but my time never appeared and then it came up as started but not finished.

When you say your time never came up, did you wait less than 4 seconds? After 4 seconds some text appears telling you your internet connection isn't responding, and after another 4 seconds you get the chance to try again once you've reconnected.

More generally, if your time hasn't appeared and you close the player window then you will usually end up in the situation you describe - started but not finished. The only time reason why that won't happen is when the player's completion notification gets to the server, but the response back acknowledging it doesn't get to you.

The text came up but i don't think i got a chance to reconnect. It's not important, i was just puzzled. I'm wondering if we're losing the internet fir a few seconds and not noticing as this is the second time something similar has happened this week.

Key

  • A yellow/light blue highlight in the time distribution charts highlights your time, where relevant.
  • Rating scores out of 10.0 show the average difficulty rating chosen by users, where 1.0 is "Easy" and 10.0 is "Hard".
  • If a puzzle is opened more than once, including by loading from a saved position, then this is potentially a significant aid so it is listed as being completed with 'multiple sessions' for the purpose of the best time/average rating displays above.
  • Minor aid is defined as no more than one use of 'Check solution' when incomplete and/or no more than one use of 'Check solution' when wrong; and/or using highlighting aids (show repeated digits, show broken inequalities and show valid/invalid placements [slitherlink] only). Major aid is any and all other use of the solving aids except for 'show wrong'.
