...subtract a couple of minutes of a Server not reacting...
btw: what happened to Skyscraper-8 (last one last year)? And the Nurikabe type seems to be off the shelf :-(

Enough of the Skyscrapers and Nurikabes the latter we had on March 20th, 22nd and 24th!! Also Slitherlinks appear rather often.:)

Talking about different things?
I was referring to size 8 for Skyscrapers (announced to appear once per month among the other sizes). So I don't want more Skyscraper puzzles but more of size 8. Nurikabe is off now for more than 2 weeks.
If I could choose: Less Killer Pro and fewer Kakuro.
Slitherlink I don't mind. I didn't vote for anything about this kind.

We all have are own likes and dislikes but on the whole there is plenty of variety and I usually pick and choose as I rarely do all 6 puzzles each day. Somehow I always hope I can do the slitherlinks!! I don't remember voting? But my memory isn't as good as it used to be............

You are right: there was not vote - and I didn't.... it was probably the wrong term anyway. Sorry for that.
Variety: for me that includes Nurikabe and 8x8-Skyscrapers :-)
How often it has to appear? More than once or twice a month would be nice. And regularly....

There are skyscraper 8x8s waiting to appear - just the luck of the draw. On Nurikabe, I've used up all the one I've made so need to make some more. It's quite a slow process since I make each one by hand, and only use my software to check they are unique.
I also need to make more Kropki Sudoku and Sudoku XV 6x6.
Thanks for the reminders!

Just complaining on a high level:
Skyscraper 8x8 were announced (at the end of Sep'20) to appear about once a month. We had 3 so far (two in late Nov, one in Dec). If the setting for "about once a month" is configured properly, it seems like really bad luck so far:
Oct - Nov 2 Dec 1 Jan - Feb - Mar - Apr -
Maybe the 5x5 can go - How many different unique skyscraper puzzles can there be without repeat, anyway? A symmetrically mirrored setup may not be the identical puzzle, but it is still the same....
"How many different unique skyscraper puzzles can there be without repeat, anyway?"
As skyscrapers puzzles are about constructing latin squares: the number of different 5x5 latin squares is 161280 (cf. OEIS A002860), including symmetric variants. But then you will also be able to construct many different puzzles for the same square by using more or fewer hints. It will be some time before Gareth has exhausted all 5x5's...

Thank you, winterer, I would hate to see the 5x5 skyscrapers go as they are the ones I am usually able to solve!!:)

Thanks for the link. Further research shows: OEIS A264603
Number of structurally distinct Latin squares of order n: only 192
Reduce that by a few that are not uniquely solvable (example see below)...
Then multiply with the number of possible ways of how to distribute the hints to make the puzzle solvable. Not quite as many anymore...
We already had 308 in daily rotation and 200 in sets, a total of 508. That makes every square used in average more than twice already. But who remembers after a few years anyway?
I don't want to be mistaken: I'm just in favor of a few more 8x8 than we had so far. And those don't run out as quickly.
Example:
12345 35124 54213 23451 41532
This one is not uniquely solvable because 12 / 21 in rows 2 and 3 could be swapped.

Key
A yellow/light blue highlight in the time distribution charts highlights your time, where relevant.
Rating scores out of 10.0 show the average difficulty rating chosen by users, where 1.0 is "Easy" and 10.0 is "Hard".
If a puzzle is opened more than once, including by loading from a saved position, then this is potentially a significant aid so it is listed as being completed with 'multiple sessions' for the purpose of the best time/average rating displays above.
Minor aid is defined as no more than one use of 'Check solution' when incomplete and/or no more than one use of 'Check solution' when wrong; and/or using highlighting aids (show repeated digits, show broken inequalities and show valid/invalid placements [slitherlink] only). Major aid is any and all other use of the solving aids except for 'show wrong'.
