great - instead of Shift+Q, I accidentally pressed Strg+W, making the puzzle disappear.
I started the puzzle again like 3 seconds later - maybe it is possible to receive my needed time from that time stamp?

Edit: When opening the recent closed windows, my numbers are not restored...

Entered numbers are only restored if you save them first, by pressing S or clicking the 'Save' button.

The site only saves a timestamp for the most recent time opened, although it adds on previously elapsed time if you open from a saved state, so I couldn't recover the original start time even if you had completed the puzzle, which as of the time of writing you currently haven't.

I see - I thought every start would be logged as a database row (because there is a counter of "played"). Never mind. I'll try again another day so I'll forget possible advantages.

No, there is one record per puzzle + user combination, no matter how many times you open it. There are also 'first solve time', 'fastest solve time' and 'most recent solve time' entries in that single record, as well as a play count.

Key

  • A yellow/light blue highlight in the time distribution charts highlights your time, where relevant.
  • Rating scores out of 10.0 show the average difficulty rating chosen by users, where 1.0 is "Easy" and 10.0 is "Hard".
  • If a puzzle is opened more than once, including by loading from a saved position, then this is potentially a significant aid so it is listed as being completed with 'multiple sessions' for the purpose of the best time/average rating displays above.
  • Minor aid is defined as no more than one use of 'Check solution' when incomplete and/or no more than one use of 'Check solution' when wrong; and/or using highlighting aids (show repeated digits, show broken inequalities and show valid/invalid placements [slitherlink] only). Major aid is any and all other use of the solving aids except for 'show wrong'.
