I've just finished this puzzle (took around 34 minutes) but after hitting the close button, it's showing as started but not completed. I had the same on another puzzle last week. I suspect it's to do with my internet connection or device being slow - perhaps I closed too quickly, before my completion time had been recorded.

I'm not expecting anything can be done about it, I'm just expressing my disappointment! I was pleased to have completed without using aids and that isn't going to be reflected in the stats.

I had a very slow connection to puzzlemix this morning as well, so it might be a general problem.

As for closing: wait until it shows that the time has been recorded ("Your time was ..."). Maybe hit "retry" once or twice.

winterer has good advice, although even better would be if I made it more obvious when the save had failed. The trouble is, mind, that it doesn't know in advance it is going to fail - usually it will succeed even if it doesn't get as far as showing your time.

HollyBlue, I have updated your stats for this puzzle.

I wasn't expecting that, thank you very much Gareth.

Key

  • A yellow/light blue highlight in the time distribution charts highlights your time, where relevant.
  • Rating scores out of 10.0 show the average difficulty rating chosen by users, where 1.0 is "Easy" and 10.0 is "Hard".
  • If a puzzle is opened more than once, including by loading from a saved position, then this is potentially a significant aid so it is listed as being completed with 'multiple sessions' for the purpose of the best time/average rating displays above.
  • Minor aid is defined as no more than one use of 'Check solution' when incomplete and/or no more than one use of 'Check solution' when wrong; and/or using highlighting aids (show repeated digits, show broken inequalities and show valid/invalid placements [slitherlink] only). Major aid is any and all other use of the solving aids except for 'show wrong'.
